Job Summary

The Accounting and Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing financial, human resource, and administrative functions. This includes assisting the leadership team with budget preparation; conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports; developing and maintaining an effective system of accounting; overseeing the payroll function and maintaining accurate financial records. The position is also responsible for the day to day operations of Human Resources, which includes responsibilities in functional areas such as, employee relations, training and development, benefits, and executive administration. The position works in collaboration with the CEO and Managing Director.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum five-ten years demonstrated accounting experience with a small to midsize company, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job. 
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Quickbooks experience required
  • Financial accounting practices and methods
  • Advanced mathematical concepts
  • Report preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet creation
  • Account reconciliation procedures
  • Expertise in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field
  • Full-time Exempt Employee (FTE)
  • Arizona- based role
  • Work from Home, and requires some local face to face meetings with leadership team
  • Includes Work from Home Stipend
  • Profit Sharing participation after first year, @ next enrollment cycle
Position Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of general accounting
  • Ensure accuracy of bi-weekly client invoicing
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Maintain monthly financial statements
  • Project Costing
  • Ensure accurate processing, tracking, and billing from vendor agreements.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets, budget review processes, and preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification
  • Oversee minimal compliance with banking and/or lending institution reporting
  • Manage accounting policies and procedures
  • Process payroll with payroll vendor on the 15th and the last day of each month
  • All other duties as assigned

Human Resources Management

  • Coordinate enrollment and changes of employee benefits with the applicable vendors
  • Oversee human resource policies 
  • Assist leadership team in managing internal staff relations
  • Coordinate new employee orientation, and lead HR elements of onboarding activities 
  • Assist in recruiting efforts for open positions by coordinating recruiting activities 
  • Oversee the implementation of new state business licenses when adding a new virtual employee
  • Maintain digital employee files, ensuring compliance with all applicable HR laws
  • Oversee the planning and execution of virtual company events
  • Assist in scheduling and coordination of employee performance reviews 
  • Distribute bi-yearly online employee feedback surveys
  • All other duties as assigned

General Administration

  • Execute procedures for record protection, retention, record disposal, and retrieval, establish any necessary procedures
  • Identify administrative areas of improvement and make recommendations to leadership
  • Professionally assist in managing and maintaining relationships with vendors, service providers, partners, and affiliates.
